Rifle range near Raleigh - Page 1

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rifle range near Raleigh

I just bought a new rifle and would love to shoot it this weekend. I see that Drakes landing no longer has their rifle range open and I am not a member of the Wake County range. Is there anywhere somewhat close that isn't private? I know there is range 37 but is there anything else good around the area?

There is A range in Dudley just outside of Goldsboro that is closer to you. Eastern NC Firing Range and shooters club. I don't know if you have to be a member to shoot there. I live in Clayton and I shoot at PSR37.

I looked into this awhile back, and the closest option appears to be Durham Pistol Club, followed by the one the poster above mentioned. The one above is cheaper, but is a much further drive. I have not been to either, though I intend to the one above eventually.

Update: I ended up going to psr37 that weekend and had a great time. Only about 45 mins away from south raleigh. People there were very professional, range was nice and not to crowded, reasonably cheap if you shoot for a few hours. Will be going back.
