I moved to NC back in June/July.  Found Drakes Landing recently and loved it. It had everything a gun enthusiast would want. The people are nice, the land is great and did I mention they offered everything.

Well they are apparently being plagued by irritated neighbors and now their rifle range is shut down(not sure if permanent or not).  I'm bummed for them, myself and other enthusiasts.  Hope they are able to get back to full speed.

Where are other people going to shoot their rifles?

I've been there a couple times, for the ranges and the skeet/trap shooting, which I enjoyed.  It is a little on the expensive side, but nice facilities and friendly staff, they sometimes offer a groupon or social something club discount.  One of the range offices told us that we shouldn't shoot steel ammo through our AK one time.....

I shoot at the Wake County range in Holly Springs as well, but I am looking for something else too.  The hours for that place are terrible, every time I go, the place is usually busy, and it always FUDS shooting black powder, hogging the lanes.

I've been out there (if I'm thinking of the right place) but they had some kind of event going on so we didn't shoot. I have shot at Kidds Place. It was a lot of fun, kind of like golf but with skeet shooting.

It hasn't been determined if 4 of those bullets came from DL but it hasn't been disproven either

I haven't been there so I have no opinion of DL one way or the other, but the link in WRAL has other links about DL.  None of them very positive

I was there today.  I like the place, took my daughter deer hunting there and they were great.
sucks about the rifle range, though.
