That is correct, anywhere that serves alcohol is off limits to all firearms, not just concealed ones.

Wow that seems pretty unreasonable considering almost every major restaurant sells some sort of alcohol.

It is anywhere that alcohol is sold for consumption on the premises.

We need to strike down the BS about places that charge admission too. We can't carry in theaters.

yeah i can imagine. i thought MI was restrictve but this is way worse. when you think about it, almost every single restuarant is out of the question. i cant think of a single non fast food joint i go to that doesnt serve alcohol. and as far as the admission thing, that means no carry on the gun range? seeing how you had to pay to get in there? shits crazy.

The primary problem we have in NC is that almost all the places that are off-limits to carry are the result of laws that completely pre-date any sort of non-LEO legal concealed carry (they existed before Dec. 1, 1995). The concealed carry law its self doesn't restrict many places, but it also doesn't exempt permit holders from the multitude of places that were off limits before the CCW law passed and went into effect. The intent of those laws was enhanced punishment for people carrying concealed in those places, since there was no legal concealed carry, they were breaking the law anyway.

Most ranges don't allow you to have loaded weapons off the firing line anyway. |
