THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I saw a guy OC into a Mcdonalds. The manager asked him to pull his shirt over it so as not to scare the customers. Out of curiosity, I don't know if he had a CCP or not, what would the penalty be for him covering it with the shirt? Is it a felony? |

In charleston sc. It's called unlawful carrying. It's a misdemeanor, though you can be taken to jail. Think the average ticket was 460$, so anywhere from 200-1200$ I guess. And no more than 30 days in jail. Second offense I don't know.

In NC carrying concealed without a permit is a class 2 misdemeanor for the first offense. A second or subsequent offense is punishable as a Class I felony.

wonder if since the manager knew he was carry and didn't seem to mind I wonder if nothing could be said? Though I know it is not the offender's property or his place of business.
Kind of like this: say you are on a friend's property and are walking with him on his land. He knows and approves of you carrying your handgun in your waistband, concealed, and you have no CCW permit. at least the McD's manager seemed cool with him carrying whether he had a CCW or not camaro |

Since the restaurant was neither to the carrier, he could not legally conceal a handgun even with the owners permission. He could have stayed there carrying open if the manager had agreed but the owner can not grant him the ability to conceal it without a permit. NC statute 14-269 is pretty clear as to the only instances where a handgun may be concealed and with owners permission is not one of them. |
