So the jets that I couldn't identify the last time were flying over my house today.  At low altitude, enough that the sound was almost deafening, the sonic booms scared the Mrs. half to death .

What area of the state are you in?  Looks like an F18 but I don't really know

It looks like an F-15 Eagle, probably out of Whiteman Air Force base. We used to have a squadron of them here in St. Louis and every weekend the Air Guard guys would rock our world practicing. They have since moved them to Whiteman.

A librarian at Centerville told me that A10's fly over at nap of the earth quite regularly, she thinks it is "very cool".

F15 and that wasn't a sonic boom; heard the plane before you could see it. You'd know a sonic boom if you heard one....KABOOM

I dunno man, that's looks like a Raptor to me.  Look at those triangular shaped wings and paddle shaped horizontal stabilizers at the 10 second mark.

Here's a F-15

Here's a f-18

At the time, I was on the south side of the farm cutting firewood.  I kept hearing things over my chainsaw and couldn't figure out what it was ( Nearest neighbour is miles away ), then I ran out of gas in the saw, and took off my ear muffs... wow they were making some racket!!  it took a while for me to locate them.  They were flying pretty low and only caught a glimpse or two of them, but will try and get some good footage the next time it happens.

I think that area is a big MOA. I've heard a couple of them taking off together from lambert over the last few days. That doesn't seem like normal test flight stuff but who knows.

Looks F-18 more than F-15. Cockpit too far forward of leading edges of wings

Idk. Those look like little stubby 15 wings to me. I can't see the cockpit though so you may be more qualified to say...I can't really see shit there.

Usually the straight vs canted tails will give them away, but my eyes are failing me on that video.
