It's a Motorola RAZR M that's at least 4 years old. Today at about 0600 I took a picture to send to a buddy and it immediately froze SOLID!  I can turn the screen on & off and that's it.  I cannot power it down and the reset function (power + volume up) does not work.  It is time for a new phone.  I'm hoping that all of my contacts info is saved in Google+.





It can receive calls & texts, or at least it plays the ring tones to me, but I am unable to accept them.
I use Verizon but am very tired of their high rates and proprietary phones that can't be used on any other networks.  So I'm looking for a new service as well.  I don't use a lot of data, typically 2-3Gb a month and I also don't often travel outside the Kansas/Missouri area.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried pulling the battery?

Lots of good offers out there from T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T.

I just switched to AT&T from Sprint. My new plan is unlimited everything plus a new iPhone 7 Plus 256 GB for under $80 a month.

Thankfully, Verizon Customer Support was able to walk me through rebooting the phone which seems to have worked.  Apparently the 21st time is the charm.  



Whew, I dodged that bullet for a bit longer.

AT&T & T-Mobile use GSM

Some of the newest phones have both systems.
