I was planning on St. Joe's close to Farmington.

I'm loaded up and ready to leave the house by daylight.

ETA:  from STL area.

I can't go tomorrow but I'd like to try and meet up sometime this  fall if you ride then. I'm a beginner and don't have anyone to ride with, I'm probably too slow to hang with you but a few pointers would be good.

Don't know what kind of pointers I can give that Trumps experience, but if I can help. I will.

What bike are you riding ?

LOL.
Who talked you into THAT ?!?!?

( do you weigh 250+ ? )

I talked myself into it and I'm 6'3 around 220.

I stand corrected.  You certainly picked the right size for you.

Should work fine for you once you get used to the power.

[#14]
Yeah, getting used to the power is definitely going to take some time.   I have a lot more respect for good riders now, that's for sure.

Keep posting here. My KTM 525 needs to stretch it's legs.

Planning on riding St. Joe tomorrow.  The kids are off school for Columbus Day.

Anyone else have a window open for a ride tomorrow ?

Something's come up, so we will only have time for an afternoon ride.

I'm working but please keep posting.  I have some new tires I need to put on hopefully this week, but we'll see.

Hey pong !  Get those tires on and start beating them up !
Cyclehouse Performance should be able to put them on for $25 a tire.
Check out STI's Ultra Heavy Duty tubes at Rocky Mountain ATV.  They are indestructible and only cost $18.00 per tube !

I've been running them in Arkansas, Colorado, and Michigan and couldn't be happier with them.

Nice day for a ride.  No one there hardly.

It was a nice shake down ride for my son.  This was his first ride on his new-to-him CRF230.
He's 5'8 & 110lbs.  He took it much slower than he normally rides, but he really liked how the larger tires and more power made easy work of the trails compared to the TTR 125 he just grew out of.

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered them.
I was going to be a cheap ass and reuse my old ones...by the way the old tubes have been to Colorado maybe Utah and have way too many highway miles on them.

I should really check the htf more often

I'd sure be up for a st Joe ride one weekend.

Is anybody going to be out  to St. Joe tomorrow?  Just got my slow-wheeler 250x out of the shop today.  This will be it's first outing.   I'll be wearing my old black helmet (Street Helmet..can't miss me....I'll look out of place ).  Anybody else going to be out this weekend?

Link Posted: 10/29/2016 9:44:57 AM EDT
[#25]
Wish I could.

Perfect weather for it !
Link Posted: 10/29/2016 6:29:18 PM EDT
[#26]
Ya...it was good weather...not really that many people were out.....but...put me in the old man department.  My heart wanted to do more..but my body was like ....I hurt all over

Those trails have way to many rocks on them...need more sand dune.  Got behind a 660 Yamaha and dam could he put out some dust .

I rode at Finger Lakes last weekend and as a beginner I thought the main trails were pretty good, I didn't see any rocks.

I definitely did not go on the MX track.
