I've seen that in GD a couple times this week by various members. Wonder if they're cutting ties with Ruger.

I believe that one of their major shareholders forced them to dump black rifles. Would imagine this is just the next step of incrementalism... Discounts on Marlin and Remington too apparently... |

I bought a Savage model 23, 22WMR that was $197 regular price and paid $99 plus tax in the Cameron WalMart this morning.

I talked to the guy at the counter last night, he said he thought the rifles were discontinued, or had been sitting there forever and they wanted to get rid of them for their new stock. I still feel it's kinda weird to do it right before the election. They only had the .243 Ruger American at the one in Liberty, but DICKS sporting Goods had a .308 and 30-06 and said if I took a picture, they'd honor the sale.

Grabbed a 243 for the boy for Christmas. Passed on a savage 22 mag $99 and a savage Bmag for $154

I just bought a Savage 22LR for $64 at the Walmart in Kansas City North off Barry road. They had a Ruger American in 30.06 still for $199 and a Savage .17HMR for around $150ish.

If you're still looking for a 45/70, I'm reliably informed there are two in O'Fallon.
If you're told something is out of stock, I'd suggest you have them check the computer too. |

There's a $50 rebate on the Marlins, and a $50 on remingtons too. Sadly nothing on Ruger, but you can't have everything.

I snagged two Ruger Americans from the Richmond, MO Walmart, one in 308 and one in 30-06. They had a 243 and another 30-06, but somebody got those.

I have called around to a bunch and they all claim to have none, mostly in the KC area and east of there. However, from the GD thread, it seems that some Walmarts and employees have no idea about some of the sales stuff, so there may be stuff, but I am guessing it will most likely take a site visit to verify and even asking about what is in the back. You should check the GD thread on this.

Even in store, they'll tell you "no we sold the last one of those last week" if the computer isn't checked. They do/did the same with ammo. You can counter that with the app though, "the computer shows you have xXxX in stock" usually elicits "let me go and check the ammo cage" |
