We found about a dozen Friday evening. I'm close to Ste. Genevieve/ Farmington.  It's still a little bit early. I think Wednesday will be the magic day! I say that because I'm off work!!

Some people have the talent to find them, I DONT!

I know a guy who starts down in North Texas and follows the season North.

When I went by last year to buy two pounds, I asked how it was going so far....

They were packaging 1,100 POUNDS, they were selling them on eBay.

I couldn't find them if they were packaged and sitting on a counter waiting for me to pick them up.

So I'm growing Shiitakes instead.

Found the first yellows today in the a KC area. I've been in the woods every other day for the last 2 weeks looking at my known producing spots and nothing. Then suddenly yesterday they started popping.
