Bought the Sammich maker a Kahr CW-9 for Christmas, I want to get the frame Cerakoted for her  before the holidays.  Where is a place in the STL area that does Cerakoting?  Thanks Jerry

UPDATE 12-2: got the wife's pisto back from Jeff today. Looks great and Jeff is awesome to deal with and is fast. It's Tiffany Blue, her favorite color.

Defensor Tactical in Valley Park does it.  I haven't had anything done there, but have bought a few things.  They are good guys, fellow military and law enforcement.  Here is the phone number : 636 825 3773

I have not used this guy personally, but I have seen a few that he has done.  If I was in the market I would be talking to him.  I think he is a member on here too, but I am not sure.

I know the owner of Trojan Arms (Doug) in Troy, IL which is across the river and I know they do that.  I have been meaning to drop a stripped lower/upper combo off there to get one coated, but just haven't made the time to do so.    It might be worth exploring at least.

I had 2 of my SBR's redone with him and am happy with the outcome.  In the photo, I screwed up and ordered the wrong grip on the foliage green gun (got an OD grip).  since then this has been fixed

man, I've always wanted to have something Cerakoted...

The main thing that stops me (a side from being broke) is I'm OCD about stuff matching and looking right...  Pretty much everything I shoot either has a scope or some type of Red Dot on it and I don't think anyone would Cerakote those...

I thought about a test run on a Bushy, just to see how I like it....

I've had Jeff do some work for me also...

Top notch.

Perhaps we should start a sticky of all the Missouri local businesses / hobbyists that we can get in touch with to keep our money in state whenever possible? Someplace with only "Mo HTF Approved" businesses on it?

Polymer lower?  If so, that looks really good!

Yeah it's a polymer frame. Took it to the range today for a function check, wasn't locking back on a empty mag. Ran about 50 through it and it loosened up and works fine now. Not impressed with the trigger, a lot of travel. Took a pic in the sun, looks great.

Yeah one thing I've found with cerakote in terms of fit is that you have to massage the parts for a while and get them to scrub a few thing layers off until its just right.  Its a worthy tradeoff and for some things I had them taped off so that internal fit would remain the same.

Doesn't she have a membership here as well?

She may ruin her own surprise.

Does Jen know she is getting this or do I have to keep my big mouth shut?

ETA: I see she does not know yet so I best keep my mouth shut.

Should have just bought a pair of Springfields when you bought the last one.

I wish Shes wanting a Range Officer Compact.  She handed me her iPad the other night and said what do you think of these, the RA Compact was on the screen, I started getting a little aroused thinking "this Christmas is gonna ROCK!"  I told her I've been wanting one of those.  She said, "Not for you, for me."
