I'm looking for recommendations for both a clutch and someone to install it in the St. Louis area.  I'd like something more heavy duty that the original because I'll be doing a fair bit of towing of a 3,000-5,000 pound trailer and some off-road fun.  The first one lasted 125,000 miles, and I wasn't nice to it, so I can't complain.

I found this one, but I'm no clutch expert.

Spec clutches aren't known for smooth engagement or longevity, the pressure plate on that will most likely make you're left leg tired from the increased effort. If you want something that will last I'd look at centerforce, exedy, or clutchmasters.

I wouldn't expect smooth engagement with that combination of friction material.

Not sure about that clutch but stage 2 and 3 clutches on 3/4 and 1 ton diesels are very loud. Sounds like something is going to rattle off. Does your rig have a hydro or cable clutch?

It's hydraulic.

Then I don't think you will notice a weight difference.
