Awhile back I heard they re-did the berm on the 300 Yard line and were going to gongs or target placements in all the way across that, but  when I was down at 67 Gun club for a few on Sat I noticed there were NO gongs at all at any distance...

What give with that???

Looks like they will be putting up some new ones after the range is cleaned.

That's good.  Last time I was down there they were beat to death.

Yea, not sure what they were made out of, but they were like 2" thick and pock marked all to hell, several had decent holes punched right through them...  Also, that made more of a thud when hitting them, then the normal DING of regular AR500 plates I've heard...

They were mild steel of some sort.

Some looked like cut up blades, some looked like brake drums or something - they had been out there a while though so who knows.

My father's a member - he heard a rumor that they're going to replace them with good AR 500 gongs.

But that's just a rumor.

Berm is done, no gongs or new 300 yard target backers yet. Wish they would hurry up.

ehh, I wouldn't make it out there much either if I had just under a 100 Yard range w/ Steel Plates just off my back porch...
