Anyone who uses that word around me can blow me.

Unless you have been shot at or had a Molotov cocktail thrown at you or bottle full of urine hurled at you... I no longer want to hear it.

Great restraint has been shown through this whole ordeal.

That is all.

The Missouri Guard just showed up.  I have to get back to my mandatory 12 hour shift in the middle of what looks like a domestic war zone.

In this case, inform the public that the Curfew will be enforced via A-10 Ground Attack Aircraft

Doesn't work like that for the guy on the line wearing a mask.  Sometimes watching the live feed its hard to understand the tactics, and how much restraint is being used.  You have no idea how far things are pushed before the skirmish lines are established and the gas is deployed.

Like Kujo, most agencies (including mine) are on a 12 on/12 off schedule and depending on where you are located and size, no days off.  Reality is if you are sent, you will be working longer.  We have gone every night but one; my wife has mandated that I take my uniforms to the cleaners as she doesn't want the gas smell in our washing machine.

It will be interesting to see what develops tonight.

NG is not needed.  What they should have done is told Ferguson PD, to take back control, MOHP and STLCO will provide additional manpower as they request it.  Stay safe Kujoe.

I watched an interview with Nixon on one of the CBS morning shows yesterday and he couldn't have thrown the local PD under the bus any more if he had tried.  If folks thought the militarization was bad before they are in for a wake up.

I for one appreciate the way the overwhelming majority of local and county cops have dealt with the near impossible situation they've been put into..

Are you guys getting any days off?

Stay safe out there.

How about both

nturavrgcop: nothing like a little CS to clear one's sinus'   When I was in the Army, I use to actually enjoy going to the gas chamber. I'm one of those that CS doesn't really effect.

On a serious note, I hope you guys working there stay safe. This mess needs to come to an end.

I support you 1000%..  I can not imagine what it would be like to be in one of those cars or stand on the line like ya'll are...

To me ya'll are in a no win situation...

1st, to a good portion of the public (no matter the color) all cops are wrong.

2nd. If you try and stop the looters and Criminal Opportunists, someone cries foul, snaps a pic and gets 10 mins of fame = to a Sharpton attack.

3rd, if you don't stop said, Cry Baby looters and Criminal Opportunists, another big portion wants to cry foul that ya'll aint doing your job.

The whole thing sucks from every angle...

I hope this ends quick.  Our neighborhoods are being destroyed and it seems to me that the many LE agencies that are all ready understaffed and strapped for resources are being stretched WAY past thin, fighting this bullshit and while ya'll are away busy fighting that, there is still a sizable criminal element left to run around the neighborhoods and break in, rob, mug and commit crimes as they wish because, they know there are no officers left to respond or response times are way increased....

Stay safe my Brother!!!

The gentlemen on the line have my support, appreciation and prayers.

Just watched the news, the naacp is extremely concerned about the ng presence.  The hood ain't near as tough as the desert.  And the ng knows how to take care of business in the desert.

From a laymans point of view,  can central command make an announcement that anyone seen with a fire bomb in their hand will be shot?  I think it needs to happen.

Justice would be: when one gets ready to throw the Molotov,a sniper pops the bottle -it looks like you blew your own ass up........I know- don't try for real.

I hear ya but I think it's pretty ironic that the demographic that back all of obamas choices and thought the right was a bunch of crazy crackers when they complain about the whole police state thing. Are now getting it turned on them and they are mad? Socialism doesn't care what color you are. And I don't hate cops and I have no idea how you guys have the resolve to put up with all that crap.

That's some irony for you.  He blames the police for antagonizing the demonstrators and then orders in the guard.  Me thinks he underestimated the length of this incursion.

I think they should just threaten to take food stamp benefits away to every person who is arrested or filmed looting and assaulting the police. That'll put a stop to it!
