You know the old hobo marks they used to determine if someone was a soft touch for helping those in need?
Apparently I have one somewhere in my yard written in DOG.
This is the third dog that's showed up in our yard looking for help.
Previously found homes for a GSD and a Weiner.
I guess folks dump their unwanteds in our neighborhood, and they find their way to my house.
Sweet little girl.
We saw her laying under a truck at the front of our neighborhood yesterday.
I get in the car to move it last night, get out and feel a nose on my leg.
No collar, pretty decent shape.
Thought she was a pup at first, she seems to be a Beagle mix, with maybe a touch of Basset.
We're heading out of town today on vacation, so we took her to the 24/7 vet last night to check for a chip, no chip.
She had a scratch on her eye, and a mild respiratory infection, so we got her eye meds and antibiotics.
She appears to be 2-3 yo, sweet, mellow disposition, great with kids.
Hasn't barked or howled a single time.
We can't keep her, we have two older pets at the end of their life expectancies, and they wouldn't adapt well.
Using the full power of social media to find this girl a home.
We're planning on having our vet board her, get her up to date with shots, and monitor her meds while we're out of town.
Will add a few pics in a bit.
Wife's calling her Roxie.
Here she is....
