... Dianne Bentley is asking for a fair and equitable division of all of their personal property, for alimony, for sole title to the property they own, and for Gov. Bentley to pay the debts they've incurred during their marriage, as well as her attorney costs. The documents say the Bentleys have been separated since January 2015. Gov. Bentley and Dianne Bentley appeared together at a College Colors Day event around 10 a.m. at the Governor's Mansion in Montgomery on Friday morning. The governor was wearing his wedding ring at the time. The court documents were filed at 9:23 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28 in the Circuit Court of Tuscaloosa County. The Bentleys have been married for 50 years since July 24, 1965... ...

His wife hates politics. I bet he plans to run for Session's seat when he retires or hopes to be appointed to it by the person who is govenor at the time. If he does, she wants nothing of it.

Sorry to hear all of this. I voted for Bentley last election but I will never do that again. He helped with getting SBR and SBS legal in the state BUT.. his actions this last term are nothing like a Republican. I class him as a southern democrat who changed parties to get the vote. Alabama needs real Republicans who represent what is at the core of the party (very limited government and personal freedom)..or just a good Libertarian.
 Personally I will be glad when Bentley is out of office. However I wish this personal matter would not have happened to him.

The liberals on Facebook are running with the whole "gay affair" angle but Bentleys wife doesn't like being in the public eye and Bentleys ambitions beyond his term as governor conflict with that. |

I'm sure this started with a dermatology exam. She asked him to check a
