Recently an 18-year-old University of South Alabama student, Gil Collar, was shot and killed by a campus police officer.

Yep, supposedly fell into the wrong crowd at college, just like the kid from Faulkner that was shot and killed during a burglary attempt in Montgomery last week, but shot by the homeowner.

I knew the kid killed at USA; my 2 boys wrestled in high school, often times against his school, although in a higher weight class. Even so, wrestlers and their parents get to know each other. Sad, sad, sad.
