I bought the 4 camera system by Swan they sell at Best Buy. I records to DVR and you can hook it in to your home network. Program on the computer allows you to set it up to send you an email with snapshots of what triggered it. Supports continuous recording or timed recording and motion activated. Image quality is better than most of the kwik mart systems. I have not had any complaints so far with it.

I know NOTHING about the quality, etc., of this system, but Best Buy has an 8-camera/DVR system on sale as one of its "Deal Of The Day" specials today...
Have to admit, I was looking at it and considering it myself (I'm sitting on some BB rebates and gift cards right now that would offset it further). |

This is the system that I have and the video quality is almost like watching TV.

I know nothing about the subject matter but I know that Sam's club and Costco both sell video security systems. Might be worth checking their prices if you're a member.
