Are there any particular AL laws to be aware of when selling long guns or pistols to out of state buyers?  For example, do transfers need to be sent by an FFL holder or can they be shipped directly to an FFL holder in the buyers state?

What you put in bold is all you need to do.  The only other concern is shipping pistols/handguns, they can not be shipped USPS by a non FFL holder.  Not sure what UPS/FEDEX policy is.

There is no Alabama laws to worry about, it is Federal Laws that cover interstate commerce.
