Looking to weld up the 4 "extra" holes left on the sides of the receiver after stock to pistol grip conversion. Some put in plugs some weld. I dont like the plugs and would rather it look the way it should. There are a few small holes on the bottom as well.
Seems TIG may be the best way to go from various sources. Thought about buying a 90 amp harbor freight core flux but that seems messy. I build AKs but dont know how to weld. It would be a big project that I am not sure is worth learning. Weld over, angle grind smooth, and refinish. |
