Hey everybody.

I'm currently going to Louisiana Tech and trying to find a good range to shoot at on the weekends.
I know about the Ruston Gun Club (I took my CCW class there) but they are not taking new members. (They pretty much told me to get bent)

So, my question is, are there any decent ranges in the Ruston/ Monroe areas that are worth me driving to?

Thanks.

Did you check the Shreveport/Bossier City area? Try caddo pistol and rifle club in Princeton.

Welcome to Ruston! The aforementioned Gun Club is the closest thing to town, unless you've got some private/family/friend's land to go to. Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has a public outdoor range I've been to several times. I know that they were talking about expanding the LPSO range and opening it to the public, but haven't heard anything in a while. Also, T.P. Outdoors has a small (e.g., 25 yard) indoor range at both locations (West Monroe & Monroe).

There's R&W Firearms in Quitman/Jonesboro; I think they've got an outdoor range, including a CAS/SASS setup. Wild Wings in Downsville has trap/sporting clays. I believe there's also a trap/skeet range in Arcadia (Arcadia Gun Club?), but I've never been there.

ETA: Forgot about Bang, Inc. over in Princeton. Jerry Miculek's home range... he teaches competition shooting classes over there occasionally. Not sure hwo open it is to the general public.
