GUNS-3 last summer was rough. Wound up cutting it a little short to avoid any heat injuries, there were some folks who didn't come back on the line after lunch. Still got my Pale Vic that day though

Yes it was, I made it all the way to the end, but I was sucking pretty bad.  I missed by one shot on the pale vic, hit the target stand.

Yea, I did it with a buddy in 2013, IIRC, and it was HOT as fuck.

I don't think I took a piss for the whole three days, despite drinking like 5 or 6 liters of water per day.

If you scroll down on that page it also has a decent soil recipe.
Or you could find a local supplier.

So nice of you to rub it in. You suck.
Because of my light duty I'm missing some awesome training. A vehicle CQB course with William Petty and Steve Fisher (Sentinel Concepts), so I hope the sims hurt and you get hit on every knuckle, on every finger and in the neck and nuts multiple times.
Sabre07 may your aim be guided by my anger and be true.

Farm is looking awesome, once I get to moving again I need to hop on the bike and come by and see it in person.

Is the next GUNS5 in Dec? I'm in. If it's already on the site, I'll fill out an ap.

Need to get a few others from this thread in there.

On a separate note, I'm waiting for my soil to be delivered, whenever it's dry enough to load and bring here...... Damn rain.

Doubled the depth of my boxes, on Dimmu's suggestion, and added conduit on snuffy's suggestion.

Made a lot of progress on the tree house too.

That's an awesome class.  For a long time I had to do First Aid / CPR every year, Lighthorse had the best hands on and environmental prep of any I've taken.  Really drew my attention to a few things about situational chaos, improvising, communications in a chaotic environment, non-cooperative subjects, and how to keep a flashlight in arms reach the whole time.  Definitely a step above what's available to most folks on the subject.  Want to take my family through at some point.

First Aid training is a hugely overlooked part of carrying a gun, and a big part of prepping that most people miss.

I built a nice one at my old house.  Ex got it in the divorce.  Currently only 5 chickens however that will soon grow by 10 or more.   I'm planning a 15 x 12 run for them currently and just a 4 x 8 coop.  I know for now a tractor would give my 5 more than enough room.  But not enough eggs from just 5 to even do it strictly for the enjoyment factor

I wish that I had gotten it tilled a week or 2 ago and then sat for a few to kill off whatever grass was left in it.  Oh well just more work to keep it cleaned up.   I'll post up the combo pictures of the garden and chicken run in a couple days once I finish the coop.

I planted 3.5/5 of my boxes this weekend.

I think I'll plant peas in the last box and a half.

I was told to freeze the peas before I sprouted them, so I did half and half, non-frozen/frozen and planted them in the kitchen to get them sprouted before I move them to the boxes.

Pics tomorrow. Boyscouts tonight.
