Moving to nwi and looking for new place to shoot.
What's within an hour of dyer? |

I shoot IDPA here on Wednesdays. It may be pushing the hour drive, but they do have an indoor pistol range in addition to the rifle range that goes out to 200 yards. There is also the North Porter County Conservation Club in Chesterton. They have different competitions just abiut every weekend from April through November. The competitions are open to the public but both places require memberships if you want to come out and do your own thing. http://npcccinc.com/content.php Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Indiana has so much farmland/country addresses that many people have their own ranges or at least a safe direction to shoot so there few public and club ranges. Feel out your coworkers and see if they have the hook up on some private property.

Where in NWI are you moving to?
ETA: never mind. My reading skills need improvement |
Not really. Like I said so many people have or have access to private property that there isn't much demand for them.

This Saturday North Porter is having their first steel plate match. You should come and check it out. It moves quickly, few rules, and lots of fun.
http://npcccinc.com/content.php?68-steel-plates You'll get the opportunity to meet other locals possibly make friends or get the scoop on other places to shoot. I'm planning on being there myself. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

There is a plce called Debs in Hammond. The range is in the basement, quite possibly where they filmed Silence of the Lambs. Went there once and the lack of ventilation was real bad. It's also pistols only I believe.

Ah yes! I did buy a rim and the blackout light control! I still have the CUCV also
Sadly we sold all of our 1008s, 1009s and 1028s. I bought a pos m998 project and my brother bought a pretty nice m998. LoL
My M1009 sits most of the time right now , just never have time for her. She has a little rust going on the lower rockers, which is pretty common. I have a leaky IP pump I know I will need to fix and a tranny pan gasket. Right now it just sits on garage and takes up space.
One day I will have time to do some work on her. So when we setting up a shoot next year! |

The few southern ones I had I couldn't bring myself to drive over winter. LoL. I'm always ready to shoot. Granted the location is nothing special but I'm always willing to knock down some more trees and brush to make the range bigger. Hahaha need to buy some more ar500 targets and stands. |
