With zero advance planning the wife wants to take the 3 year old to the children's museum in Indy tomorrow (8/9). What is a nice hotel near downtown or the museum that has a pool?
Don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to be in a shithole or the ghetto either.
Any help would be appreciated.
When asked what breed of dog she had written on an info sheet the clerk in question stated "When I axed him he said "I don't really knows, my dad be blind and we gots a CNI dog", so thats what I wrote down."......"CNI dog"

How much do you want to pay? Google "Indianapolis hotel with pool" and there are several options. There are a whole bunch downtown that are only a few miles from the museum, but you are going to pay for it because they are higher-end hotels.

Indianapolis is a great hotel town. Because of all the conventions in Indy, downtown is packed with very nice hotels and rooms can be found relatively cheaply.

Go on Priceline and look at the rates for downtown 4-star+ hotels, then underbid those prices by a $10-20 per night.

I would guess most of them have pools, but if you definitely need to have a place with a pool it might be worth a few more dollars to buy from the list, instead of bidding. On Hotwire, I think you should know before you buy whether the place has a pool, but not the name of the place.

Either way, you'll find lots of very nice places at very reasonable prices in downtown Indy.

(If you're not used to paying for parking, that may temper the savings somewhat, but that's another question altogether.)

There are several nice mid-priced hotels at the Southport exit just south of Indy. Several good places to eat there too.
