Some old Navy buddies and I are planning a small reunion in or around Cumberland in a few weeks.  We were wondering if there are any shooting ranges in the vicinity.

They don't have to be anything fancy.  We will only need it for about 2 or 3 hours.

I am an NRA certified instructor for rifle, pistol, and shotgun, as well as Range Safety Officer.  About half of our group have CCH permits from VA.  Our group is very responsible and safe and will respect the property of anyone who lets us use it..

Any information would be appreciated.

State ranges in Green Ridge State Forest and Savage.

Yup.  Been to both.  Both are decent 100 yd ranges.

There is a range at New Germany State Park open during sunlighy hours.  There really is no range officer, the shooters agree when to go hot ot cold.  I used a Simmons laser range finder, and the farthest target positio  from the shooting table is a little less than 90 yards.
