I read through multiple threads with a ton of legal jargon, but I didn't find the answer.  I haven't purchased anything since the drastic changes in the law have taken place.

Thanks.

You can buy a Ruger 10/22 or 10/22 Take-down and walk out with it in 30 minutes.  The last one I bought was the 10/22 Take-down a couple years ago at Dicks Sporting Goods in Gaithersburg. The local Walmart here does not have much of anything firearms related, besides I've boycotted Walmart for more than a decade. Form 4473 only, no waiting.

I've heard Walmarts w/i 25 miles of DC don't carry firearms or ammo. Go farther out, and they do.
