Unfortunately, it's not exactly his call or in his power to do that. He can have an influence on the enforcement of it. I also expect he will be pressured to have the MSP respect the recent court ruling on Maryland's concealed carry policies and make them abide by it and the Constitution. I hope to be legally carrying my gun in Maryland by this time next year. I will then be able to plan for vacations and outings that take place in Maryland. As it has been I tended to go to Virginia, West Virginia, or Pennsylvania so I can legally carry. I always feel naked in Maryland when I am not carrying. We need to push for a repeal of sorts for SB281 and make clear to the legislators in Annapolis that their seats are at risk in 2016 if they do not play ball. The only reason all those criminals did what they did is because they were bribed by the Democratic money. They feared for their support if they did not. With the sweeping nature of the Republican victory today I can see that pressure easing quite a bit for multiple reasons. Like most animals by nature they felt empowered by a mob mentality as they had all the cards last time. Next time, not so much.
I almost chose to move away from Maryland last year, but then I realized that if I ran and let Maryland fall to the dogs that they would grow in size and power and that it would only be a matter of time before the liberal insanity found me anyway. I decided that what Maryland needed was more people like you and me, not less. Now look what has happened today. We made a big change, no a miraculous change in the right direction. We have to fight much harder now.
