My wife and daughter are going to drive through Maryland. Anybody know if a learners permit is valid in MD?

I believe much like a DL, those are recognized in every state.

That said, I don't have kids so I have no idea for sure.

edit, I was wrong, they aren't nationally recognized, but she's still good according to this page...

Funny - as a MD resident I just looked at this for my daughter who recently got her learners permit.  

Virginia was OK.
Washington DC is a big NO.
North Carolina is OK - But you have to be at least 16 years old.
