Stopped in the Sheriff's office (Sheriff Cruz in Meeker County, newly elected) on Wednesday for my PTC renewal. Had my shiny new permit (actual nice card this time, last one was a cheap laminated business card) on Saturday. Renewal cost was $35.

So far, liking our new Sheriff.

I had a good long phone conversation with the Sheriff when he was running (along with the other major candidates), and I liked what he had to say. Amazing that there was only a few hundred votes (total) for Sheriff. Guess many people don't go that far down on the ballot. The candidates know this, so they really do take the time to talk to constituents.
