Does anyone in the metro have one of these? I've found a few people with an Omega and Saker, and I'm looking go compare those against the Specwar, Surge and/or Sandman-L in 762.  Im interested in your personal opinions at a minimum.

I've had a Specwar 762 for a couple years now (just moved to MN from GA).  It's the only suppressor I own, and really the only one I've ever played with.  I use it on the following weapon systems:

8.25" 300BLK (AR15)
10.5" 556 (AR15)
20" 556 (AR15)
18.5" 308 (LR308)
26" 6.5 Creedmoor (bolt action)

Here are my thoughts...there are shorter and lighter alternatives, but (IMO) none will be as durable or versatile and suppress as well as the Specwar.  I've found "gas in the face" with the 556 SBR to sort of suck.  But, as don't have anything else to compare it to, maybe this is as good as it gets as the Specwar 762 has been reported to have less blowback than other cans (especially when compared to 556 caliber alternatives).  That said, I have not noted the "gas in the face" to be bad at all with any of the other AR platform rifles listed above.

In endstate, I'm glad this was my first suppressor purchase and would purchase this can again as my first if I didn't already own it.  You're more than welcome to try it out if you'd like, but I have no idea where to go and have only my SBR's local to me right now.  I'm in Fridley.

I have both a SPECWAR 7.62 and omega.

Omega is slightly quieter, much lighter and handier. You could drive a tank over the SPECWAR though.

Everything I've read says the Specwar is quieter than the Omega, and quieter than all other rifle suppressors, actually.  Can you expand on your opinion?
