When I sent my brand new Lt Wt Champ Op to SACS for custom work including 25LPI front checkering they quoted +/- 12 weeks but I had it back in my hand 4 weeks to the day that I sent it to them.  Stellar workmanship and IMO reasonable pricing, round trip Fedex was $30 total including front door pickup of my boxed firearm.

Nope, never heard of him or seen a review of his services before. Hence the raised eyebrow.

Some folks on this board have reviewed other smith's in town and posted their results. others just post fawning diatribes or flames for their own jollys.

I do recall the worshipping that took place with a certain gunsmith in Minnetonka that ended up destroying another forum members colt 1911. So take with a grain of salt when an unattended recommendation is shared.

I could not find a review online of his work. And nothing came up on either yelp orgoogle.

I swear, by the end, he was using a jack hammer instead of gunsmithing screwdrivers.

He completely ruined my Model 19 and the "refinishing" job he performed had to be redone. But I digress... there are still forum trolls here who think he could do no wrong.

Fubar'ed lowering & flaring an ejection port on my Springfield 1911 too.

The bed of his mill wasn't even CLOSE to square.

Again, there are forum trolls here who profess that he was dead on and it was your Springfield that was made wrong.

My Model 19 was made with "inferior" steel and that is why his bluing tanks couldn't make it consistent. Yet, Another $150 later it came back with perfect bluing.
