The problem is any sided

The internet had basically made shows a moot point.  There is always someone going to have stuff cheaper..and without sales tax etc.

Then a lot of gunshow material is crap.......more a garage sale / flean market atmosphere.

People bitch about nothing good being at the shows.............well good stuff costs money and again playing the internet card comes into play.

Now when DPMS was at MWCA show especially march show at the hippodrome or even the april show in the education bldg. There were some very nice deals!  The hippodrome show sucks to navigate the isles............why bother.

The only thing good about the last show I went to was running into a few members from arfcom.

There are deals on parts and some supplies at the shows.

Antique collector shows are really more enjoyable and have better deals than gunbroker or gunauction.

Just laying out tables is not going to cut it any more. Deals, advertising, and marketing have been sorely lacking at the shows.

I would definitely say the internet is part of the problem.  I can't tell you how many times I hear the PSA minions sit and brag.  Until of course it comes to customer service.

I think my credit card wouldn't have a problem being abused on deals. Any rifles along with those parts being liquidated? Give a weeks notice and I'll bet your cleaned out.

hopefully we will return to the days when DPMS was at the major shows with a nice selection of uppers, complete rifles and parts. Before DPMS was sold to Freedom Group and attended shows I bought a free-float had guard for a 20" DPMS A-3 flat top, drove up to St. Cloud, dropped the rifle off at their facility, ate lunch, picked the finished rifle up and shot it at Del-Tone/Luth Gun Club. Most of us know who  the "main man" was in those days, he offered the install and I took him up on it, the customer service was simply awesome.

NO NO NO!

The only one that knows the actual plan is DPMS so don't start speaking on our behalf as you have no idea what we will have in store for the MN team...

I was there too.  took 1/2 an hour to go through and that was even talking to the guys at the tables for a bit.

The hat guy was almost forceful peddling his wares.

I was suprised to see a new Camelbak motherlode pack. In black and old army digital camo.

i was there from 10-11am and the nice thing was--how few people there were so it was easy to get around.  I have never seen so few people at a show before.

Sad.  For the most part this community supported DPMS for years.  And trust me, while I understand how business works, it still pains me with the way these events have shaped up.

But hey, Minnesota still has Hess, right?
