One of the peeps wore a kilt a few years back, and over a few beers at the campfire we decided to start our own clan. You can tag along regardless, but if you want to join the clan you'll want a kilt. It's actually quite liberating. It's the Black Watch Tartan. A great place to get one is stillwater kilts in bloomington. He's a gun guy, and great to deal with. |

I supposedly have a familial connection to clan Romsdal on my Mothers side about 4-5 generations back. Checkered red over green. Wouldn't want any family ghosts getting pissed at me because I'm wearing the wrong gang colors... ;-) |

We went with the black watch tartan because it was an "open" tartan, and it has a cool history. You may look odd hanging out with the rest of the kilt wearing guys though. |

Dude, you're totally over thinking this. Typical IT guy. I wear the kilt with a tac vest, 511 belt, OWB holster, and a sporran to keep my cigars safe. And of course my stroller. |

Quoted: Always wanted to camp. Never lined up well with work tho... View Quote Last time, they had folks with campers, folks with tents, and a couple of guys sleeping in the back of their truck. BiL and I had a 3-room tent. I have a camper trailer now, but will probably just opt for the tent again. Depends on if I can afford a newer truck between now and then. Get there early as they'll let you on Friday for a good spot. Wonder if they'll limit this to the first 800 shooters though as they were talking about post-Omega 5. Even at Ahlman's... We were pushing things towards a "max capacity" kinda thing. |
This would be a cool event to get some video/ stills using the hexacopter.
Were assuming it will be in MN and at ahlmans but that hasn't been confirmed yet to my knowledge.

Even if it's in Vegas, I'm there. In fact, that would actually be better as it would make using the camper an easier choice. |

Updates on the site. Looks like it's at Ahlman's again. Going to try and make it as early as possible on Friday. |

the outbreak page says three. |

View Quote The main shoot itself is just Saturday. Prize give-away is on Sunday and the VIP events start just after lunch on Friday. |

looks like ZERT is taking over the event...
No VIZ options? I guess I will sit and wait to see how this plays out. I can see this turning into a ZERT members only shoot |
Sounds like they are changing things up a bit, but including a ZERT members only lounge isn't exactly ZERT taking over the whole thing.
Tier 1/ViZ option for those of us willing to pony up a bit extra, general admission for the rest. Sounds like business as usual.

BLACK WATCH...
Registration Where are we bivouacking? As I think I'm going to go balls deep and do the tier 1... However I would rather camp with the rest of the Black watch.... If people want I can go for the Zombie Hunter package and we can "Base Camp" out of my FOB... |
We have been taking a handful of sites just below the dance hall.
I didn't see a camp site map, I'll have to dig deeper I guess. |
Holy shitballs... My wife would nuke me if I went Tier 1.
Sounds like fun. I wonder if I could buy in at the Zombie Hunter rate and upgrade later if the additional cash falls into my lap... |
I don't know if you would be able to upgrade as I think theres a max cap for the training

Quoted: I don't know if you would be able to upgrade as I think theres a max cap for the training View Quote Yeah, kind of what I'd guess they'd do. However, Christmas is right around the corner and taking a $300 hit right now would not make me popular with the Wife Unit. As in, "Here's the number for my divorce lawyer" type unpopular... |
I here you there... I would have liked to tried the training to but that's out. And the only difference from the run and gun and zombie hunter is early registration friday ,camping selection, a meal and 25 bucks additional swag.
When signing up it asks if you are a member of zert. I selected no and it added 39.99 to cart when left yes it removed it. |
Well I pulled the trigger... I'm in... And then some.. A day of shooting I have Lined up..
I have camp sight 39... But may call them and "Make a Move" |
Last years shoot the black watch had sites 2-4 or 3-5.
Prolly text the peeps and see if we have a plan. Not spendin $300 skins, I'll go the $150 plan to get a campsite. It will be fun no matter what. |
I'm all in! Just signed up for tier 1. 3 big bills later, and I'm not even having second thoughts! It's going to kick ass!
