THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT We are looking for a "hands-on" Quality Supervisor that has experience working in manufacturing environment. This position contribution is to design and manufacture of new parts including complex designs related to firearms. The ability to implement new concepts into existing designs along with testing and evaluation of created components. To assure the quality of parts to help streamline production The overall improvement of the quality of parts Accurate inspection of parts to satisfy print requirements Continual improvement of the efficiency of the Quality Dept by refining systems and adhering to established systems Proper documentation for inventory control purposes Inspection of all new parts for a total first piece article approval Knowledge of all measuring tools and techniques Constant contact with production supervisors to understand current issues Constant contact with the customer service supervisors to understand warranty issues Constant contact with corporate officers to report progress Work with marketing on all new product designs Responsible for keeping tools current and in good condition Responsible for control and updating of controlled documents Responsible for accurate print creation according to current ANSI standards Oversight and training of Quality Techs' CAD Design capabilities (Solidworks) Supervision and training of Quality Techs Oversees vendor quality by getting involved in their process control documentation and PPAP process, and constantly communicates to continually improve parts Tracking of vendor PPM, and helping them to continually improve Work with sister companies to help expedite any engineering/print change to standardize like parts for purchasing efficiency Assist in any area called upon Formal education required; AAS or Bachelor's degree in related field Knowledge and experience of SolidWorks 2006, AutoCad 2000 is REQUIRED . Other programs to be familiar with would include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of AR-15/M-16 platform is benificial. Reloading and military experience very helpful Previous supervisory experience is a plus. This position has one direct report. NO RELOCATION PACKAGE WITH THIS POSITION.
