I've got a training weekend scheduled for the last weekend in February, courtesy of Appalachian Tactical Academy.
ATA Pistol I + KY CCDW
This is a one day course on combative/defensive use of the handgun. We cover safety, fundamentals of marksmanship, and legal in the classroom. We spend about five hours on the range working through the drawstroke, malfunction clearances, reloads, shooting on the move, the Tueller Drill and other material. Completing this class counts as the education requirement needed to get a KY CCDW permit, so you don't need to take the normal DOCJT class if you take this one.
Round Count: 400
Price: $150
Date: 27 Feb
ATA Rifle I
This is a one day course that focuses on close-range defensive/combative carbine use. Most of this class is spent on the range, and we cover close-range shooting, transitions, reloads, malfunction clearances, shooting on the move, and use of cover.
Round Count: 500
Price: $150
Date: 28 Feb
