THis shoots stages are not set in stone as yet. The next shoot will most likely include a pistol transition portion for the rifle or shotgun stage or for both. I haven't decided yet. I do no know for sure if we will have a pistol portion as yet.

Vengarr and I wanted to shoot from the bed but we couldn't figure out a way to do it safely. Maybe one day.... Craig |

put a harness on the shooter with a carabiner behind their neck and rope it to the rear bumper of the truck. get dragged while shooting.
But seriously, more hostages. |

At least one longer-range shot (on steel?) either at the start or end of the rifle stage (bonus shot?) Shooting under/around/through cover (vehicle?). Shooting from the moving truck was a nice touch. We could try that again. Rifle to pistol transition would be a very interesting way to stop the clock/end the stage. "Battlefield pickup" style start to the stage. You have to drag/carry something heavy(ammo/jerry cans?) to your rifle, load it and engage targets. All on the clock. A separate pistol stage would be nice. It seemed very popular last time. Very practical too. |

Very practical too. I'd like to see a "Heavy Metal" optional run for the rifle stage at least. I've got a bunch of "battle" rifles that would be neat to use them but I don't want my only one run on the course of fire to be with a FAL that I've never shot in the dark before. So maybe an optional Second Run, the first run is for your official time and then pay extra to do a 2nd run/heavy metal run where the .30 cal rifles come out. Also would be fun to try with a M1 Garand just to see what its like.... |

That would give folks a chance to test their rigs and try differenet rifle platforms. Set up a simple COF and take turns running against the clock. |

Shooting from the bed seems kinda dangerous to the person driving.... Put the tail-gate up, sit with your rifle hanging over the passenger side pointing out (same direction that we shot from last time) except sit in the bed nearer the cab than the tailgate Vs in the cab. The driver is very much behind and you and 2-3 feet to your left. This seems safer than sitting in the cab and shooting from inside the cab right next to the driver. |

ok some updates related to overall night shooting
test and tune nights. Kenny will let me take 20 people on either the upper or lower range tops. The place is ours from 6- midnight. tracers are fine, DEPENDING on the dryness conditions. we will run this exactly like a regular range day except it will be in the evening. We will call cease fires etc. We can do a Friday if I give Kenny at least 2 weeks heads up and have at least 10 people total. I will be working alor of overtime in May, so I will see tomorrow what Friday night works best for me. I am number 1 the next person that calls a spot will be number 2 do a count and send me an email or IM with your number and real name so I can start a list. |

Personally, I'd say any one hit in the A or B zone is neutralized with an M1 Garand/FAL/PRT91/M1A/etc, but that's "Yeah well you know that's just like my opinion man" <The Big Lebowski> |
