Shooters Supply in Louisville sells suppressors. I haven't bought a can from them (someday I hope...) but they are usually very good to do business with. Prices are fair, service is good, and they keep their shop a damn sight cleaner and more organized than a lot of dealers.

Obviously I'd have to wait, I might need to go in there and ask them a few questions. |

There are lots of cans at Knob Creek this weekend. Make your deal then find yourself a transfer dealer. It's all easier than you think.

Yeah but I'm going to have to get it permed on to a barrel because I'm wanting a 10.5" barrel with that Can permed on it so I don't have to have two different stamps and then don't I have to have a class 3 dealer to send it too? Does Kenny have a class 3 license? |

Talk to C3man here on ArfCom. He is honest and has helped a lot of people get into the class III realm with a minimum of drama. Rex is good people and can get you whatever you'd like to get.
The Jefferson Co. Sherrif has no problem signing off on class III items, & does so all the time. I can't help you with thier exact procedures, as I have done all of my class III items by way of a trust, precluding the need for photos, fingerprints, & CLEO signoff. Shooter's Supply is less than a mile from my house, but I avoid them like the plague. Between thier prices, business practices I disagree with, and Skip, it's just not worth it. Lotus also does class III sales, but I will still prefer to do busines with C3man and drive to Paris to pick up my gear once the tax stamps are approved (which is currently taking BATFE 5-6 months to process). He has done much to earn my trust, enough so that the extra drive is worth it to me. |

I'll probably come back to this thread and to let you know i VERY MUCH appreciate your'lls help. It looks like I may be going out of louisville to pick up the item because like what you said above Shooters is VERY pushy and Skip is not fun to deal with. |

Enjoy a nice lunch while you are there (place across from that beautiful old court house in the middle of the circle downtown), check out the Civil War Museum across the street from him and maybe pick up some of their ham while you are at it. They are nice folks, fair to deal with, take care of you....and they are worth the drive compared to Shooter's Supply. I avoid that place.....especially some of the people who work there...... |

Burning up the ol money rather fast though. To be honest, I think it's crap you have to get tax stamps for this in the first place. Just makes me a little paranoid, having to register for something that as a American I should be able to have and the government knowing what I own. However I want it and don't have a choice, so I'm going to order a form 1 and form 4. |

If not, I think you have to order them from the FBI, not sure though. |

Coheeba,
While I respect your opinion, it is a false and untrue statement. We sponsor our local 4-H shooting sports teams to the fullest of our ability. Actually our local 4H muzzleloading team recieves all thier supplies at our cost for the past 3 years. The local 4H trap team, has just purchased two shotguns at cost. In fact, our local 4H team purchases all of thier guns from us (rather strange that our local team buys from a store that does not support them?). Furthermore, we recently donated a $200.00 worth of ammuntion to our local 4H rifle team, for ammunition in a national competition. Proof of our dedication to our local shooting sports can be found on our award wall in our store (this is visible for all to see), were numerous plaques from our local 4H Shooting Sports Team is on display, which they have given us to show thier appreciation for our support. My company has even went a step farther and has donated to the Archery in the Schools program, and we aren't even an archery shop. I can provide examples all day, and I would not expect you to know them all, but I also wouldn't expect some forum poster to talk out his rearend either. We are sorry if at one time your team/group/club was turned down for a donation, unfortunately money does not grow on trees. Furthermore It is our money and we will distribute it as WE see fit, we cannot possibly fullfill all the request we have for donations, we would go bankrupt. We will continue to support our local 4H and other shooting sports teams as much as fiscally possible, thanks for you posts, even if it was wrong and completely un-true. Thanks & Sincerely Patrick Hayden Owner, Keene's Depot & The Kentucky Gun Co 877-348-3594 |

Thanks & Sincerely Patrick Hayden Owner, Keene's Depot & The Kentucky Gun Co 877-348-3594 Maybe you shouldn't promise local groups to give them a firearm for their fundraising event and then not return MANY phone calls and back out at the last minute, even after several committee members spent large sums of money in your shop, since you were going to "support" the event. That is exactly what happened and this was promised by YOU, Patrick. Everyone can do business with whoever they please, just thought I should let everyone know who they are really dealing with. I won't respond in this thread again. Sorry OP for derailing. |
