Went to Naugatuck Walmart the other day and decided to buy Federal 7 1/2 shotgun shells value pack for 21 bucks and change. Get up to the register to pay and the guy asks me for my permit and drivers license I ask why the drivers license and he begins to explain that someone tried buying ammo with a falsified pistol permit. Don't know how true this is but it's the first I've heard of this.

Just say you're an "undocumented dreamer" and you can buy all the ammo you want with only a pistol permit.

OP,  next time just walk in there wearing a 3 wolf t-shirt, grab a couple of boxes of ammo, and let them pay you for the privilege of letting you take that ammo.

Of course, you may want to practice blading at 45 degrees and yelling "You will not take my weapon!  You will not take my weapon!"

Post video and live the life of Reilly.

They asked my birthday, but not to see my license at Guilford Walmart yesterday.

(I always just put my Pistol Permit on the boxes of ammo)

Cabela's does the same thing. I think a lot of the POS systems automatically have the sales clerks enter a DOB for age restricted items before moving forward in the system.
