Pre 94? There is a CT member with a Mac 90 for $800 recently.

That is not a black abd white question...All norinco AK's are pre 94. Polytechs are pre 89. There's many more that are preban though.

The initial ban on the Avatomat Kalashnakov AK-47 was imposed by PA 93-306 in 1993.
The AK-47 type ban was first imposed by PA 02-120, effective 7 June 2002. |

It should be noted that while there was a ban on AK's one can still buy them so long as they're preban (manufactured prior to 9/13/94). FUrther one could buy them (prior to 4/4/13) provided they meet the three part test spelled out by SLFU, see State v. Kalman. |

Don't forget, however, that that registration requirement was caliber dependent. Only 762x39 were affected. .223 were not although, iirc, you could not add flash hides or folders to them. IT's all screwy anyway.
