But that's cool, didn't know there was anyone in CT that did parkerizing.
I would love to hear that he does zinc oxide parking though!

Mmf does, but I think they will only do it for an ffl.

They did the ak47s for my old company.

If they're not weapons what are they?  Puff pastry?

I find that old timers that served in the military tend to call firearms "weapons"  He's a FF07 SOT manufacturer, make lots of fun toys.  He did a great job cutting and threading the barrels to my Buckmark and 10/22.  I also had him cerakote a P13 1911 for me

Aren't destructive devices NFA, too? Or are they classified as something else?

Weapon is a good word for them, they're not quite firearms.

Yep DD's are NFA.

Just the word weapon bothers me, mainly because of the media.  It's usually used in the wrong way.
Weapons to me is anything used to cause harm, but that's just my opinion.
A hammer is a tool that can be used as a weapon.
A firearm is a tool that can be used as a weapon as well.

Tomato-Tomato, either way.

Semantics.

A firearm is a weapon by design. That we claim it to be a tool to counter the media does not make it less a weapon. Again, though, not that I give a shit, people can call it whatever they want.

Same thing with the guys that would jump on you for calling firearms a hobby. I understand both arguments and they can make sense, they just don't to me in my personal experiences. Firearms are largely a hobby to me in that I don't make a living off of their use yet I keep collecting and tinkering and building. Ie a hobby. I do personally feel a civic duty to be prepared for anything, and I take self defense extremely seriously, but outside of that . . .

Now if we're talking about the phrase assault weapon then I get ya. Because assault is a very specific word. But a firearm is a weapon and should be treated respectfully as such imho.

I almost chimed in about this term as well, it's bastardized to the max.

And well before he parted
He wrote a post
Complaining ‘bout
Hoffman’s parking being retarded

" Iz you? "

No. Just presuming the owners thought process.  Easier than listing all the different types on a card.

I wish I had a FFL. Should maybe look into one
Actually imagine if we all did to bypass the AWB. Then we can become the FFL state. Ha
