Freakin dogs. My sisters Golden Retriever swallowed a soft plush toy the size of a wool sock. It cost her $5k for the surgery and the dog was laid up for weeks. I went home and threw away all Zekes soft toys. Lol

Were they able to see something in an X-ray? My whole household is pulling for him. Its a pretty routine thing if it's just a blockage, I'm sure he'll be fine. We've got a wire crate with your name on it if you need one.

You should be able to claim veterinary expenses on your taxes.

Thanks bud,  they could not see anything but had bacteria in his throw up so they think he has a hole somewhere

He is out of surgery and is doing well,  they had to remove 2 feet of his intestines because it had 3 small holes in it

Well that's pretty great news, glad to hear. Any idea what caused the holes?

Well that's pretty great news, glad to hear. Any idea what caused the holes?

The ate one of the kids teething toys that had a string in it,  some of the string passed faster then the rest.  That is what they think caused the holes.

He should be home by Monday I hope

That's awesome.

10Years ago I lost my 4yr old mix.  Kidneys shut down abruptly, could have been Lyme, chicom dog food, antifreeze (least likely).

I would have maxed out every credit card I had to save him.

Great dogs are hard to lose.
