It wouldn't surprise me if a licensing officer somewhere would try it. Unlike Connecticut, where only temporary permits are handled through your locality, in Massachusetts, almost all resident licenses are handled through a locality- typically that in which the licensee holds a place of residence or business. (There are instances in which an individual may have a license currently issued by a town where they lived/owned at the time that license was issued but to whom they no longer have such a connection, for example, because of a move. For example, If you live in Arlington and obtain an LTC and then move to Boston, Arlington would remain your issuing authority until expiry of that license. Renewal would be through Boston)

I read through the many pages of posts over at Northeast Shooters and it looks like it's a "sky is falling" scenario with no real facts behind it.  Those guys are really waiting for the other shoe to drop there, however.  It would not surprise them at all if the revocation of permits and confiscations actually was tried.  They are out of control in Boston to be sure.
