Since 2013. I see $700-750 lowers selling on here regularly. If under $700 it sells in minutes. The days of sub $500 lowers are gone. FFLs are asking over $1000. I am not sure they are selling at that price but probably close to it. They sell on Gunbroker for over $700 everyday. Colts bring a premium.

I am headed south to Florida next week. I plan to hit a few stores in my travels and in Florida. if I find any prebans I will buy and import them to CT.

Don't kill the messenger. I saw them and figured someone might want them.

EDIT: BTW you are being a dick.

Well I'm glad you have a pile of registered lowers, so do I. As for the prices, better can be found if you look, trust me. As for being a dick, I truly didn't mean to be, but GFY anyways.

John I am just busting balls. I did not think you were being a dick. I am sure one can find better prices if patient.

I have enough ARs that I would only buy more if I found a deal. I am thinking if I find anything at a good price I will bring it home and sell it to one of the guys here or a friend.

Don't forget guys, before sandy hook,  prebans were the same price as they are now.  For a little while after the new laws they dipped for some reason, but now they're back up again.

$700+ was the going rate for a stripped preban lower a few years ago.

If you see one for under $700 and it is not beat to shit buy it. You can't go wrong. Occasionally deals like Modrapos got pop up. If you want one you will have to pay.

I have an unfired Colt small pin Match Hbar. I had it advertised for sale. Then I changed my mind. I see the lowers going for more than I paid for the whole gun. This one i NIB and unfired. The box is beat but I have it.

Maybe.  But at a good $ a large pin lower is ok.  I've seen large pin uppers around for ok prices....so matching up a large pin upper lower isn't too hard to do .... But I passed on a large pin colt complete lower for 375$ because of large pin reasons

Are the pins a pain in the ass to line up since they are offset?

M60Joe can convert them to take a standard pin. If the trigger pins are large pin Geiselle makes a trigger for them or you can have them bushed to take standard pins.

It would have to be a good deal for a Colt. The one thing Colt has going for it is you can get a letter. Supposedly you need a letter now to register them with the State so you can file for an SBR.

Haha the part in pink was meant to be sarcastic/ironic.
That's why I said honestly in the next part.

There is a cult following of colt products-I thought that was obvious to everyone.
I don't own a colt AR, but if I was in the market I'd like a colt just because it's colt.  I'm not a fanboy though.  I also have a glock and I'm not a fanboys for them either

Also that image you posted Sardo makes me sick for some reason

Agreed Zeg. I like that is from CT.

I don't like how they have run thier company and treated the gun owning public over the years. Just ignore them because it ain't the military contrct. Then when you need them after loosing the military contract you feed them overpriced 1911's and assorted junk. And the sear block was a slap in the face.

But, back to prebans !!

You can buy all the Stags you want!  Just in .22, as a compliant version.

I wouldn't mind having a carbine version of a SP1.  That, and one of those mythical unicorn models with a small pivot pin, G.I spec trigger pins, no steel block in the receiver, and full mag release fence!  I also want an FDE AR, and keep looking for a beat A2 preban that is cheap enough to ceracoat!

Mr DLO himself free-handed every Sten using a Dremel with a ball grinding bit!  VERY hi-tech!  What a lot of people didn't know is, that Doug started out in the auto-body business, so he could really finesse things when he wanted to.  That is also where he learned to TIG.  For years, after the MGs took over from the cars, his shop had Doug's Auto over the door.  He always got a kick out of the irony in that.

The Sten is really a pretty serviceable MG.  It will do just about anything any other 9mm, open bolt, smg will do.  If you are not too familiar with them, two points of interest:

1) Almost ALL malfunctions with a Sten come from the mediocre magazine design.  Trying to go from double stack to single feed position can cause issues.  You will find your gun likes some mags better than others, so I hope you registered a lot!

2)  Holding onto the mag with the left hand can sometimes cause feeding issues (sometimes I said, so please no flames everyone).  If you decide to wrap you left hand around the bottom of the magazine well, be extremely careful where your pinky winds up.  Stick it into the ejection port, and you will see what I am talking about!
