If you recall or gave a crap, I had posted about my sudden layoff in December.

Well I was rehired with full seniority this week.

It was a tough winter but we got thru it with only a minor piling up of bills.

I want to thank my CTHTF friends for their support and help.

Specifically the following guys that  put me on to job leads:

Plus my morale team. The guys above also gave me encouragement, and the guys below helped me keep my perspective and sense of humor! Plus a bunch of brainstorming and off the wall ideas. Congtratulations, but I gotta ask...why didn't you see this as a sign that your time in Connecticut is at an end and you were due to move elsewhere?

Things are getting so bad here that every single person in Connecticut knows at least one person who left the state.  I myself know three people who left.

My wife is embedded in her career right now at a very crucial point. She's in the financial industry so things like walking away from a mortgaged property or bankruptcy are not options.

We refied the house not long ago and the property value BS I spoke of has us with little to no equity.

A couple of other financial anchors are contributing.

Family anchors too.

We have been working our plan and know what and where it's going. I'm 56 so retirement is not far off, I need to be careful with my career the next ten yrs.

I got my spot picked out, and we both keep an eye on property and job opportunities.

Tough industry

Most of products are used in coal fired generation plants down south
Non toxic chemicals that reduce emmisions aid in boiler efficiency.

EPA is trying hard to shut them down as you know.

Cav, glad to hear the good news. I was worried that the rest of us might have to pick up your tax burden. So many people in Waterbury, Bridgeport and New Haven depend on you money so they can sit home.

In honor of your rehiring the legislature is thinking of new taxes!

Genuinely good people are far and few between nowadays. Lucky for us, the powers to be seem to draw them together. When we find each other, we have to stick together.
