I do appreciate the offer, Matt. Rest assured I will continue here after we've gone. I've been spending a lot of time up in Maine over the past few years and my wife has even found that Maine has grown on her as well. We've done everything there. Life there is what CT rural life was like 30 years ago before all the legal crap. Ya know what it feels like to breath free air? It's really wonderful. It really is. I was born and bred here in CT. I love the history and the communities here. I've done my part to protect and preserve it, too, maybe even more than my part that most people would not know but I now feel it's a lost cause.
Look at the activity this forum gets. It's red hot and thank God for that, too. But there's something to be said for a more laid back forum where you would rather play checkers over a barrel and have a hot coffee in you hand or talk reloading ballistics than be typing on a laptop about the lastest political mess. Then there's the fact that my next house will allow me to shoot off the back porch no matter what the weather. That, my friends, is living.
Anyway, I just thought it quite interesting how we've got so much traffic where as Maine had so little traffic at all. Gosh how I wish it were the same as CT after all!
