Yep, I read this quickly until I got to the wedding part.  Read it yourself and see if you pick up on the odd thing about it.

Rome

President Obama has a busy Labor Day weekend planned as he leaves on Air Force One for New York later this afternoon.

Once in New York, President Obama is scheduled to attend two Democratic National Committee fundraisers in the area at private homes.

One of the fundraisers will be a Labor Day Barbecue, hosted by ex-UBS CEO Robert Wolf, who also golfed with the president on Martha's Vineyard during their vacation.

He will then travel abroad Air Force One to Newport, Rhode Island for a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi

The Rhode Island fundraiser will be held at the home of former Nortek CEO Richard Bready and Betty Easton. Obama is scheduled to be in Rhode Island for less than three hours, before returning to Westchester where he will spend the night.

Saturday, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are expected to attend the wedding of MSNBC’s Alex Wagner to his personal White House Chef Sam Kass.

The wedding will be held at the Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a Westchester County farm-to-table restaurant in New Rochelle, New York.

On Labor Day, President Obama will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to speak at Laborfest 2014, an event sponsored by the AFL-CIO.

**UPDATE** White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest clarified Obama's schedule Friday afternoon, noting that he would return to the White House tonight after his fundraisers in New York. He is expected to travel back to New York on Saturday for the wedding of his personal chef Sam Kass to MSNBC's Alex Wagner.

According to Earnest, Obama decided to "sleep in his own bed," do a little work tomorrow, and spend some time with his family before going to the wedding.

The Washington Times isn't known for its spelling. I'm sure they meant "aboard".

That whole liberal world is pretty tight knit, isn't it? I wonder if that little tart is so heavily up obama's ass, because of the relationship she in with obama's cook.

What's odd about it? That the president is attending a wedding? That he is attending the wedding of an MSNBC talking head (a woman) to an employee of the White House kitchen staff (a man)? That the guy was the president's personal chef? That the wedding is at very upscale NY restaurant that bills itself as offering "multi-course farmers' feasts featuring the best offerings from the field and market"?

Not seeing what's odd about it. <shrugs>

Edit to add: Only thing wrong I can see is the location of the Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Its in or near by Tarrytown, NY according to its website.

Much a do about nothing. It's not like there's anything  important going on here or abroad that he should be attending to.

Well I screwed up. I initially read that news blurb and though he was attending a wedding of his pastry chef who just left the White House and is gay.  I thought it was the same guy and didn't realize that "Alex" was a chick.  It's just my error.  I NEVER watch MSNBC so I wouldn't know. Sorry!  My bad!
