Sucks this state doesn't have E85. The new powerplant makes monster power on it very safely with a tune and very minimal supporting work. |

|
|
The lock up is great when it is closed (in firing position). When it is open (folded) there is no lock holding it in the fully folded position. There is a pressure ball and a notch (like the ball that holds a socket on the wrench) but its pretty weak. You can loosen or tighten the hinge screw to adjust the tension for opening/closing and make it harder to swing but Id like to see if hold more firmly in the fully folded position. I just put it on so Im gonna go read up a little bit.
It is heavier than I was expecting, thats about all the bad I have to say about it so far. |

what happens if you fire it folded?
|
|
|

Everything Ive read says you can get one round off in an emergency but you'll probably break it.
There is a locking mechanism that keeps the BCG in place, but you might break something holding that mechanism in place. |

Conn,
That light rail on the 1911. Is that a bolt on? Who made it? I would like to buy, or maybe make one, for my preban p226. |

When Jojos made the Colt for me, their rail gun was not yet available so I added the rail. Only issue is it sits low and needed a custom holster. Novak makes one that sits tighter and is closer to a factory frame rail. |

I've got the Novak rail on mine. Like Conn said, it sits a little lower. I had to use a heat gun on my raven holster to get it to fit.

Of course it came out about a month after my pistol was done. The Caspian is so low there were no holsters that you could modify with a heat gun like yours. The only holster that was drop in was a Safariland drop leg. Not exactly practical. |

Looks slick.
Would like to try to make one for old Sig. Not sure if practical. Or maybe just find an old trigger guard mount that Surefire use to make and call it done. |

Sunday evening boredom brought on this project
Made a sheath/holster for this hatchet my SO got me for Christmas. I haven't decided on the beltloop or clip etc so there is no attachment point yet but that's the easy part anyways. It'll rivet right onto the back, whatever I end up doing. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |
|
|
The little fold is to create a ridge to push it open with your thumb. I was losing interest so I called it quits tonight but I'm going to unfold it and roll it over to create a lip for accessory cord to go through the rivets, holding it closed if backpacking or something.

This is a typical flop storm to gain viewers . Change the outcome at the last minute. They had huge totals for the entire state up until last night. Then it quickly changed to the northwest corner getting the most snow while southeast getting mostly rain
