I don't know if anyone's been there yet, but there's a new gun store in Uncasville.  It's called The Outpost (located in the Gristmill Plaza on Rt 32), and I stopped by there today, as my attention was caught by the "Grand Opening" sign out front.  Since I don't have a pistol permit (yet), I walked out of the store without purchasing anything (I was given a business card, though).  The store is small compared to a place like Hoffmans, but all the staff members I talked to seemed very friendly.  They had some ammo (budget didn't allow me to look too closely), reloading supplies (again, didn't look too closely), some long guns, and more pistols.

I stopped in there today. They have a sign in the window that said AR15 lower receivers in stock. Went inside and there was one stripped lower hanging on the wall with a price tag of $285.00.. Don't know what make it was. Looked around for a couple of minutes and then went on my way. Oh btw I was asked twice if they could help me.

Not saying that it does not work. But, you can see tooling marks, pitts and other blemishes. My Rock River and Armalite look way better. BTW not going to part with it I just made it into a Dissipator. Thinking about selling the other one what is a good price for a Stag Lower w/fixed colaspable stock, 16" Wilson Barrel, and A2 upper?

Stag and RRA lowers (as well as many others) are both made at CMT in New Britain.

I stopped by there today.  The owner and salesman were very friendly.  They had a nice variety in pistols (Ruger, Sig, Taurus, SA, etc).  Two Anvil Alrms lowers were on the wall as well as a CT compliant AR.  The owner said he is working on getting more parts for ARs.  I contempated picking up an XD, but my will power prevailed.  Only walked out with a box of 223.  I will be going back.  I'll pay the little bit extra for good customer service.
