I posted awhile back that I had a garter snake that got caught on a glue trap in my house, I didn't want to bother with it at the time, I just pitched it.
This afternoon I was cruising around YouTube and ran onto a video of a guy using a snake trap, which is a glue trap in a open ended box, after he caught a rat snake he took it out to the country and poured vegetable oil on it and in just a couple of minutes it was able to free itself.  The veggie oil almost liquified the glue, and also kept it from sticking to the parts that hadn't been treated.  So if this ever happens again, I know how to free the snake, however any mice will not see mercy...



Garter snakes are a good thing to have in the yard, just don't want them in the house.
