So, I just received a Bushmaster lower ($45 how was I supposed to pass on that?) and I noticed it was produced NY. I thought it was kinda interesting because my wife is from NY. My last lower before that was from Texas Tactical Supply and was made in Wolfe City, TX. I only bought it because it was made in TX and had a interesting rollmark...So that got me thinking that since I grew up in Oklahoma, why not get a lower from Oklahoma? So do any of you guys know of any OK made lowers?

Tromix had some lowers at one time, there may still be some around.
Cold Hand Arms produced a Made In Oklahoma lower, don't know if they've sold out, and there's the ultra rare collectible Loki.
I was unaware that 2 Vets Arms was an Oklahoma company, might be what I have to go with....it's a shame Loki Weapon Systems is out of business, that rollmark is nice. Thanks for the info.

Harsh Firearms has one looks like a rebranded Seekins. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8815/17956092186_719e01e513_b.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5442/17982537855_8649c7b98d_b.jpg Here is a pic of the 2vets http://cdn3.volusion.com/ehynk.aynte/v/vspfiles/photos/2VA-15SL-2.jpg?1403852597 View Quote I really like that Harsh lower although because it's so heavily stylized you need to have a matching upper or it will look strange. |
Are the Harsh MADE in Okla? Because they don't say that, just saying Norman OK might indicate where they are located, but not necessarily where they are machined. Looking at their webpage it says they have a gunsmith, doesn't say they are a manufacturer and the shop photos, not a CNC machine in sight.
Jared at Harsh was just a Cerakote applicator until not that long ago. They now sell some stuff, including NFA items, but I am pretty sure they aren't a manufacturer. Those lowers look an awful lot like Seekins, but maybe I'm wrong.

Got a PM with the straight skinny...
"Newalla is the prior manufacturing location which ceased in 2012. Eufala is the current mailing address and Stigler is the city of location for manufacturing persons since a premise address cannot be a P.O. Box." |

i actually could use that to fill a niche.
with a little tweaking it could be a Diemaco C10 |

It's actually the cav design, they purchased the tooling. I have one that I picked up and it's actually pretty nice. For someone building a no nonsense lightweight build it's actually not too bad. |

i'd buy one if i could get it in non 100% condition to do my own engraving, eh?

I was going to say that's a long drive every weekend just to go to a lake but then the theme song to Lifestyles Of The Rich and Famous started playing in my head and it became a moot point lol. What's so nice about Tenkiller? I've been rafting down the Illinois many times but that's as close to Tenkiller that I've been. |
I didn't know Oklahoma had any clear water lakes. That would be worth seeing, although I would probably die of shock, so maybe not a great idea.
Tenkiller is supposed to be the clearest lake in the state, its popular with scuba divers, almost all the other lakes are way to cloudy to see anything, lucky to see your hand in front of your face, and scuba diving without being able to see anything is no fun.

Interesting video, I'd never have thought that Cav Arms designed polymer lower could withstand that kind of punishment.

Short version Long Version That's impressive, I've not seen a Cav Arms lower that looks like that. I'm assuming the goofy looking ones that have a less than stellar reputation are a first generation and this one is it's successor? If the price was significantly lower than a standard aluminum version, I'd consider owning a couple. Assuming I could even afford a plastic gun lol. |
