NO PERSONALLY PRINTED PHOTOGRAPHS WILL BE ACCEPTED. That's it, no further information about the photos is on the page, I mean they make it sound like you could just attach a casual photo, but I know they won't take that, the only thing I can think of is to go to Walgreens and get the passport photos like I have in the past, scan them and attach, they kind of leave you hanging on exactly what to do. I made my own photos for mine. There are a few passport photo websites and a gov website that help you properly size them. Just take a picture of yourself against a white or gray background and then properly size the photo. Maybe they will take your uploaded photo and make their own passport style photo? |

I saw a story on the news that they were considering doing away with the "classroom training" for CCL and making the initial permit available online. I think there was still a "qualification" shooting portion that you had to take before you could get the permit but that was it. Anyone see this? There were several stories related to guns that day covering various states so I can't remember if this was actually Oklahoma or a different state.

I figured that if I did a selfie in the style of a passport photo it would probably work, although they don't say that. I sent them a question but haven't heard back yet.

Received a reply this evening:
You can do that or you can take a photo as long as it’s of good quality, your head and shoulders are the only thing visible, you’re behind a solid/lightly colored background (white or a light shade), and you are not wearing a hat or head covering. You can scan a passport photo or take a photo to look like a passport photo. The very first part of the reply is referring to my question about getting a set of passport photos and scanning them, but a photo of similar type will do as well. |

Any decent photo will work, it ends up FUBAR either way. A buddy of mine just took it with a cell phone and did it from there, no issues.
